Description

The 3″ black railing screw is the longer variant engineered for applications requiring greater fastening depth — including through-bolting railing posts to joists, securing thick balustrade assemblies, and structural connections in deck framing. The slotted hex washer head accepts both a flat-blade screwdriver and a hex driver, offering versatility when working in tight access locations where a drill-driver cannot be positioned. The coarse thread bites deeply into treated and untreated timber for exceptional pull-out and shear resistance. The black heavy-duty coating resists the corrosive effects of ACQ treated timber, salt-laden air, and weathering, making it suitable for coastal deck and railing projects. Longer than the 2-1/4″ version, this screw is the preferred choice for heavier structural railing applications. Sold in bulk trade packs.
